Join Mermaid Janessa for a Three Part Workshop series featuring the art of bellydance and mermaid mysticism! Feel how the movements of dance can compliment the aesthetic of mermaiding, and learn a fun and engaging choreography to help synthesize the new movements you have learned!
You loved seeing her perform at the Bubble Ball in 2019 and 2020! Now, she is here to share her vast knowledge and grace with you. Janessa has studied middle eastern dance and music from a young age and looks forward to exploring the cultural history of bellydance throughout her classes. Mermaid Janessa is also a part of the Dive Bar Mermaids Team, where she swims nightly in a 40 ft saltwater aquarium.
This class takes place over Three Sessions. Sessions will be held October 7th, 14th and 21st at 6 PM (Pacific Time). Tickets are $20; ticket price includes access to all three sessions
Participants will have the option to film themselves using their newly learned choreography, which will be edited together by our team at CMC and posted to our Youtube Channel. Become a part of the digital recital!
Join Disney Storybook Artist Casey Robin as she leads us through a drawing class with the spooky season in mind. Ever wanted to sketch your favorite sea witch? Felt the call to scribble a real siren? Casey will lead us through a step by step drawing class to capture the true spirit of Halloween festivities, by drawing a mermaid who is truly ready to swim... 'Spoopy' Style
Students are encouraged to have drawing supplies on hand. This class is best suited for young adults and adults, but children may participate.

- This online event is $10 and includes one, hour and a half session drawing your own spooky mermaid with Casey Robin
- This event takes place on Friday, Oct 16th at 6 PM (Pacific Time)
- Please have drawing supplies on hand, these can be as simple as crayons, colored pencils, markers and printer paper
- This session is intended for all ages, but may be a little challenging for our very young participants

From a merman’s perspective, we will be primarily discussing the differences between Hippocampi and Kelpies, as these are the two species that are most often confused with each other. Where do these creatures live? What do they look like? Are they dangerous or are they friendly?
