We have a zero tolerance policy against any harassment - physical or verbal - of any attendee, participant, patron or bystander to our events. The California Mermaid Convention will have trained security personnel at each of our events; if you violate any of our rules of conduct, you will be escorted off site without warning. We will also not hesitate to reach out to the local police department at any time, without a warning.
Our events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Overly sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any of our venues, including talks, workshops, parties, Instagram, Facebook and other online media. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the event organizers.
