Give thanks to our Sacramento waterways by participating in a River Clean Up, sponsored through the American River Parkway Foundation. Our beloved Sacramento river has been particularly impacted in the past few years due to urban camping, pollution, algae blooms, and increasingly hot summers. As merfolk, we must be true stewards of our aquatic environments, and protect and work for what we cherish.
In January of 2023, Sacramento experienced heavy flooding and our waterways need our help more than ever! Every bit of help makes a vast difference for our river ecosystems.
The top volunteer group will receive a crown and sunglasses from Pixie Tribe and Mermaid and Mom! Arrive promptly at 9 AM for a safety briefing and distribution of cleaning supplies.
- February 11th, 9 AM - 11 AM
- Meet area at El Manto River Access at
Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
- This event is FREE to attend

- We will have snacks and water on site
- Please wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes
Thank you so much for helping us become a steward of the waterways!
