Since our inception in 2011 as a small costume parade, we’ve grown into a major, three-day event that attracts over 400 passionate guests. Set for May 16-18, 2025, in Rancho Cordova, CA, our convention draws hundreds of in-person attendees and reaches thousands more through digital platforms. Featured in both local and national media, we attract mermaids who are true leaders in the industry, creating an event that continues to elevate the mermaiding community.
With over 8.5k global followers on Instagram and a vibrant online presence, our convention has become a premier destination for mermaids of all kinds. We offer a dynamic lineup, including special guest performers, one-of-a-kind entertainment, swim meet-ups for all ages and skill levels, lectures, panels, hands-on workshops, photoshoots, and sister events throughout the year. Additionally, we host virtual and in-person accessory events, a world-renowned annual promenade in historic Old Sacramento, as well as river and beach clean-up initiatives several times throughout the year. The Annual Promenade of Mermaids will be held in Historic Old Sacramento on Friday evening as part of the California Mermaid Convention. The event will take place on the beautiful embarcadero in front of the famous Delta King riverboat. It will be host to a costumed promenade, contests, prizes, live music, vendors and more! The Promenade Sponsorship goes directly to funding this FREE, family friendly, public event.
